John Palmer DuPre, M.D. Lecture Notes 1901-1902

The John Palmer DuPre, M.D. Lecture Notes, 1901-1902, .25 cubic feet, include two bound volumes of Dr. DuPre's class notes taken while he was a student at the Medical College of the State of South Carolina. One volume is labeled "The Practice of Medicine" and the second is labeled as "Principles of Medicine". The instructor for the courses was John L. Dawson, M.D., the college's professor of the Practice of Medicine, Clinical Medicine, and Special Pathology. The following collection has been merged with MSS 836: MSS 834 Lecture Notes

John Palmer DuPre was born in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina in 1872, and graduated from the Medical College of the State of South Carolina in 1903. He practiced medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina until 1913, at which time he moved his practice to Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Dr. DuPre died in 1948.
